Privacy Policy
Clear choices. Careful handling.
This policy explains how NextCue handles personal data in its Android app, iOS app, website, APIs, and related services.
1. Scope and who is responsible
This policy applies to NextCue on iOS and Android and to the NextCue website and services at nextcue.datamates.in. "NextCue," "we," "us," and "our" refer to Datamate, the operator of NextCue and the controller of personal data described in this policy.
Questions and privacy requests may be sent to contact@datamates.in. If you use NextCue through a family or team workspace, other members of that workspace may also control the content they add or share.
2. Data we collect
We collect data you provide, data created when you use NextCue, and limited technical data needed to operate and secure the service.
3. How and why we use data
- Provide the service: authenticate users; sync, organize, remind, assign, and share tasks; operate workspaces; process voice commands; and provide AI-assisted planning.
- Personalize requested features: use language, time zone, preferences, and optional location to produce relevant schedules and nearby suggestions.
- Process purchases: verify entitlements, prevent duplicate or fraudulent activations, maintain subscription status, and provide support for refunds or restoration.
- Communicate: send sign-in or confirmation codes, workspace invitations, service messages, support responses, and notifications you enable.
- Protect and improve NextCue: prevent abuse, secure accounts, diagnose failures, maintain reliability, understand aggregate service use, and improve features. Detailed voice diagnostics are used only when you opt in.
- Meet legal obligations: comply with applicable law, valid legal requests, accounting duties, and enforcement of our rights.
Where laws such as the UK GDPR or EU GDPR apply, our legal bases are performance of our contract with you, your consent for optional features, our legitimate interests in securing and improving NextCue, and compliance with legal obligations. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.
AI output may be incomplete or inaccurate and is provided to help you organize tasks. NextCue does not use AI to make legal, employment, credit, health, or similarly significant decisions about you.
5. iOS and Android permissions
Apple iOS and iPadOS
NextCue may request microphone, speech recognition, location while using the app, notifications, and background notification delivery. Apple processes App Store purchases, Sign in with Apple, and notification delivery under Apple's policies. NextCue does not request App Tracking Transparency permission because it does not track users across other companies' apps or websites for advertising.
Google Android
NextCue may request microphone, approximate or precise foreground location, notifications, exact alarms, vibration, and restart-after-boot access so requested reminders can work. Google processes Google Play purchases, Google sign-in, Firebase messaging, and Maps-grounded suggestions under Google's policies. NextCue does not use the Android advertising ID for advertising.
You can deny or revoke device permissions in iOS or Android settings. Core task entry remains available without microphone or location access, although the related voice or nearby-suggestion feature will not work.
6. Retention and deletion
- Account, profile, task, workspace, transcript, and related service data is generally kept while your account is active so it can sync across devices.
- Uploaded voice audio is kept only while a voice request is queued or being processed and is deleted after completion or failure. The transcript, response, task changes, and queue status may remain as account data.
- Optional detailed diagnostic records are kept only as long as reasonably necessary to investigate and improve the relevant workflow. Turning off consent stops new optional diagnostic collection.
- Transaction and subscription records may be retained as needed for accounting, tax, fraud prevention, dispute handling, and legal compliance.
- Security and operational logs are retained only as long as reasonably necessary for security, reliability, and legal purposes.
- After deletion, limited data may remain temporarily in protected backups until overwritten or may be retained where law, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or security requires it. Retained data is isolated from ordinary product use.
Account and data deletion
7. Request deletion of your NextCue account
You may delete your account at any time. The deletion covers your NextCue account and personal data associated with it, including profile information, personal tasks, voice transcripts, device tokens, AI conversation records, and subscription linkage, except data we must retain for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or transaction-record obligations.
- In the NextCue app, open Settings and choose Delete account and data.
- Review the consequences, type DELETE, and confirm. Your authenticated account and active account data are deleted immediately.
- Shared spaces that still have other members are transferred to another member. Spaces without another member are deleted.
- If you cannot access the app, use the email request below from the address connected to your account. We may ask you to verify control of the account and normally complete verified manual requests within 30 days.
Deleting NextCue does not automatically cancel a subscription billed by an app store. Cancel it first through Google Play subscriptions or Apple subscriptions. Deleting the app from your device does not delete your account.
8. Your choices and privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, obtain a copy of, delete, restrict, or object to processing of personal data; withdraw consent; and complain to a privacy regulator. You may also have a right to appeal a decision about a request.
- Change microphone, location, notification, and speech permissions in device settings.
- Turn location suggestions and optional voice-workflow diagnostic sharing on or off in NextCue settings.
- Edit profile and task content in the app.
- Sign out of the website and clear NextCue local storage through your browser controls.
- Email contact@datamates.in for access, correction, portability, objection, consent, or deletion requests.
We do not discriminate against users for exercising privacy rights. We may verify your identity and authority before fulfilling a request. Authorized agents should identify the user and provide proof of authority where applicable.
California and other U.S. state disclosures
NextCue does not sell personal information and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We have not done so in the preceding 12 months. We do not knowingly use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that require a right to limit under California law.
9. Children's privacy
NextCue is not directed to children under 13, and users must also meet any higher minimum age required to consent to online services in their country. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children below the applicable age without valid parental authorization. A parent or guardian who believes a child provided data should contact us so we can investigate and delete it as appropriate.
10. Security and international transfers
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect data, including encrypted network connections, restricted service access, secure password hashing, authenticated APIs, and access controls. No storage or transmission system can be guaranteed completely secure.
NextCue and its providers may process data in India, the United States, and other countries where they operate. Where required, we use appropriate contractual or legal safeguards for international transfers. Privacy and data-protection rules in those locations may differ from those in your country.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when NextCue's features, providers, or legal obligations change. We will update the date above and provide additional notice in the app, on the website, or by email when a change is material and applicable law requires notice or consent.
